Excuse any nonsymmetrical parts, I'm not used to doing tech, even if is old style tech. =p The designs were loosely based off of the Buck Rogers comic strip collected book that I have with strips from the 20's through the 40's.

Quoting the book, and this is my favorite part: Equality of the sexes had been one of the developments brought about during five centuries. It was part of the education of all young girls to spend a certain amount of time in military service as well as in various industrial and mechanical activities. Naturally, most of them stayed in the kind of service to which hey were best fitted (and the mechanical conveniences of the age made them practically as efficient as men in nearly all lines) unless they married. Then they adopted home-making as their career, and were subject to call for military and other services in case of emergency."

From the Buck Rogers "Autobiography"
February 8, 1932

Please please fullview. The preview just really sucks. =p

Nicely done, this one is truly complete...save for some form of coloring or shading.

1932. Gee, sounds like 2004 to me. Women are equal to men, except they get paid less, promoted less, respected less, etc, etc. LOL. I notice the comment about mechanical conveniences. So, they're saying without those mech conveniences, women would be useless. Heheh, I love reading between the lines.

Awesome pic nonetheless. I've always had trouble with shots like this. You've pulled this off beautifully.

Excellent drawing - all it needs is some sort of large-brained evil alien to finish it off!
